My dad served in the Navy. We moved over a dozen times by the time I had reached high school. I am (to this day) nearly expert at packing. We spent so many holidays and special occasions oceans aprt. He would go out to sea for months and months at a time. Once for 8 months. Civilians sometimes do not realize the sacrifices the Military have to make, just to fulfil their committment to "protect and to serve".
