I don't have a location in mind specifically but it would depend on what we both favor. In the case of long distance meet ups, we can use services like Discord or Skype to watch something together online. I like to spend time with freinds watching a show or movie we can both enjoy or even make fun of while we watch together. It helps to break the ice and let's us feel comfortable chatting together whether its about the movie/show itself or what we like or don't like about it. What's your favorite movie or show

I know, I know, it's lame and cliche, going to the movies, but I absolutely LOVE the movies. Not just watching a movie like you watch at home but the whole movie-going experience. The lobby that smells like popcorn, the long carpeted hallways, finding the best seats in the theatre and hoping nobody sits next to you, all of it.
So, we go to the movies. One of us buys the tickets, the other buys (or brings) the snacks. We get there early and find our seats and sit there and talk for a while. We talk about our jobs, my job doesn't gross you out (ask me about it), we keep up the flow of conversation, then before we know it the lights are going dim and the movie is starting. The movie is thrilling and kinda loud and a few times you jump and grab my sleeve, which makes me laugh to myself.
Then it's over and we leave and we mosy around the harbor talking about the movie, then start talking about our families, and we find ourselves walking into a small diner for dinner. It's easy to talk to you and vice versa because we make each other comfortable. We both hate small talk so we engage in real conversation with meaning and depth and it's easy.
It starts getting late so we leave and I walk you to your car (or whatever mode of transportation you use) and we stand around talking like we've known each other for years, possibly even lifetimes. When it's really late and we realize we can't make the day last longer just because we enjoy each others company, we make plans for next time. We hug, then part ways for the evening.

I think the main thing I want out of a first date is to be able to talk a lot with the person I'm on a date with, so I'm a big fan of simple things like getting drinks/coffee, or dinner and a movie. And going to see a movie followed by dinner has the added bonus of making sure we have something to talk about so there will be fewer awkward lulls in the conversation
I'm all for fun and adventure. Something simple like a movie date or having a nice dinner at a local restaurant would be suitable and fun in my opinion.
I like to do something simple like go to the movies and get some dinner. It's the best way to start things off in my opinion. I'm open to see whatever movie is playing and any place to get food.
I love movies. I know it is kind of a terrible idea for a first date, really. Doesn't leave a whole lot of time to talk or get to know anyone, but dinner first or after does--so it counts. :P

I know, going to the movies is totally cliche, right? How are you supposed to get to know someone when you're sitting in silence? I disagree. First dates are already awkward, and seeing a movie takes the pressure off of trying to find something to say. If it's a comedy, you get to sample what they find funny. If it's a drama, you get to see how emotional they are. Action movie? How much do they appreciate a well-choreographed fight scene? Then after it's over you have something to discuss! You can then go for dessert, coffee, or a walk. It's light, it's easy, it's not stressful, and the evening can still end in a kiss. Perfection
We can go see a movie and then grab a drink and talk about it. Then talk about ourselves. Then talk about life. Then laugh together and see what comes next.

I've been told I have a great sense of humor. I love to laugh, eat out for dinner, cooking, and love rom-coms. No lie. I love where I am at in this point in my life. Just want to meet a girl who has similar interest as I do. Feel free to ask me anything.
