A nice walk in the park is always nice. That takes away the formalities and gets to the getting to know each other with no interruptions. Plus, it's more of a casual atmosphere. So, you get to be comfortable.

Go for a walk in a park or beautiful natural area, then grab some delicious food from a food truck or little hole in the wall place. I want to be able to talk and get to know someone. Or maybe an outdoor concert?

For me, a nice stroll through your local park where neither of you have to feel the need to impress is cool. Bring some water, sit on a bench or a boulder and talk. Then if you feel chemistry take time to plan something you could both enjoy for a fun and even romantic second date.
A good first date would be anything that would give us an opportunity to talk to each other without distraction; possibly a walk at the park.
